Monsters, Inc.
Pn Monica told us to bring colour pencils for the upcoming
English lessons. Weird. I thought we were going to do something related to Bulan Kemerdekaan on mahjong papers and
stick them in our class dashboard but I was wrong.
Guess what? We’re going to draw monsters.
The next thing that popped into my head was- are we drawing
monsters to participate in some English competitions again? (we always do
unusual stuffs during English periods). In the library, the first instruction
given was- brainstorm a monster and draw it on the paper given, regardless if
it’s cute, terrifying or ugly. I did. I came out with a demon ghost bull that
wields a bloody spike hammer with a ‘X’ mark on its chest and has a pair of
wings (picture it yourself duh!) After that, describe your drawings on another
piece of paper as the descriptive piece will be passed to another random person
to ‘recreate’ it. I tried to be as descriptive as possible. Cheers to the
person who redraw my monster based on the description, he did a fine work.
For the others, some failed miserably. There was laughter
here and there when we went to check on their ‘creation’. I burst into laughter
(I could roll on the floor clutching my stomach) while seeing other people whining
about their creation being misinterpreted. Some just turns out to be really,
really funny and some matched with the description very well.
At the end of the English lesson, I learnt that you have to
be more precise describing your artwork and don’t use too much confusing words
to confuse your readers. At the same time, don’t write something out of the
blue that is not related to your drawing (you know who :p).
Pn Hoo thought we came back from the bar after drinking
three liters of whiskey. We were all
drunk and mad while she was completely confused at the situation.
