The Power Of Information

“We have more information than we have skills to turn it into useful knowledge.”  - Mark Rolston

Technologies in this era is sophisticating and we could obtain information easily by just logging on and search through the internet. Have you ever wonder what if one day, our source of information is gone?
People will be living under a rock because they are cut out from the outer environment. Some countries had prohibited information going in and leaking out from their country. What citizens knew about the other side of the world is limited.

Think about it, people had been spreading information every second, despite if they are real or fake and some even had the power to influence people. Everyone needs a reliable source of information but there are some groups of people who tend to spread malicious and fake information around the internet. These could drive people to think differently and started following what they think is the truth, thus cause a chain reaction. We're seeing more fake news and information around the web, and they've been shared more than plenty. To some people, they don't take social media news so seriously but the problem is, many of us do.

An information could change a person's mindset easily. Information on the internet can flow a lot faster than just waiting for the next news to show up on papers or TV. Therefore, people should be more aware before classifying the information as a real one. If one good thing deserves another, a bad thing can spread like wildfire.

So now, did you realize how powerful an information is? Have you been always believing an information easily without making confirmations? Why don't you stop scrolling you phone for a moment and take a little bit of your time to think what information you saw is true? Spreading a real information might a good achievement but thinking before using an information is a better achievement.
