My First English ULBS
My first English ULBS, I
had to admit I wasn’t doing good enough. It’s true that when I saw other people
around me got more than 22, I was a bit nervous because I might be the one that
got lowest for it. However, it’s just the start, I had like 3 more chances to
do better.
When I
was out there standing among the not-so-huge crowd, I was a bit nervous at
first. It was a pretty common feeling even though I was talking to my friends, I
still feel nervous. I knew I startled a lot because I wasn’t sure what to say
next as I didn’t refer to the script I prepared. I was in panic at the first
few minutes but I eventually picked up the pace and got use to the environment.
I had to say I appreciated those who listened
to my talk even though most of them might not be interested in books. I do
apologize for using some foul languages (I said “…because she sucks…”) for
answering the questions stated because I my mind was jammed at the moment. I did
a not-so-wise choice by answering in short. Maybe that is also one of the reasons
my teacher minus my marks. Sorry! I’ll be more aware of it for the next few
English ULBS and try to give a more appropriate answer. I’ll also try not to startled
(as I tend to, for a kid that grows up in a Chinese primary school) and polish
my grammar so I wouldn’t hesitate for what words to use next.
I’ll do better NEXT TIME!
